Coach Alicia is in her 3rd season with NCAP Alexandria and has been coaching all school aged swimmers since 2013. Not a native to NOVA, she moved to the DC area after living overseas in Italy. During that time she served as the head coach for the Vicenza Mako Sharks swim team, part of the European Force’s Swim League, for 8 seasons. After relocating to the DC area in 2022, she became Co-head Coach for Hayfield Secondary swim for two seasons. Although an RN by profession, currently working at Alexander T. Augusta Military Medical Center, her love for the sport of swim makes being dual hatted easy. Coach Alicia’s philosophy is very athlete focused. She will teach swimmers better technique in order to improve their skills, which ultimately makes them faster. She believes in hard work to help swimmers reach their goals while still having fun in an effort to build a love of the sport. Her focus is AG3+ early morning sessions at Franconia Rec, Monday, Wednesday and Fridays.
